For Now, Home Is (2025) curated by Widha Gautam at The Supermarket ATL

Each flower explores the idea of “home” over the years of my life so far. The state flowers of New York, Arkansas, Tennessee and Georgia, the national flower of the Philippines, and my partner’s favorite flower.

The butterflies are an ode to a Filipino superstition that when one lands on you, it is someone you love saying hello to you from beyond: keeping those from the past close to me as I grow into my future.

The grasshopper is a symbol of trusting your intuition and leaping forward. It is also representative of my childhood, a time when I spent many afternoons catching grasshoppers with my friends and sister.

One of my goals with this project is to be able to share your stories in a unique way. Flowers and creatures can hold so much meaning, and I would be honored to capture your special moments in a timeless art piece.

Send me a message and let’s create a perfect bouquet to tell your story.
